Many people who have found their way here have already been through the medical mill with doctors and other healthcare providers. It's rare that my office the first stop for fertility. But hopefully, it is the last. I am proud to say I have had the privilege of helping many couples build their families, with many repeat customers.
For the past 18 years or so, I have devoted a tremendous part of my medical practice to fertility, including repairing the damage done to body and soul by fertility drugs, aggressive and expensive medical treatments, and the accompanying sense of victimization, frustration and loss associated with such.
Part of my job is rallying the spirit of patients on an emotional level. They can believe in the restorative power of nature, and their own inherent ability to heal themselves by practicing good health habits. The emotional toll of disappointment is often disruptive hormonally as well as socially.
It is my experience that every aspect of one’s being must be considered and coordinated to provide a platform of strength from which fertility potential can be realized. I have seen miracles happen, small and large over the years.
The fertility journey can often be frustrating, expensive, long, and full of unexpected twists and turns. My goal is to eliminate as much of that as possible from your journey and to ensure you have a baby to take home, at the end of it.
The majority of patients who show up in my office have no idea why their prior efforts failed, or what they could do to improve their chances. This is true even after working with a doctor (often more than one!)
The quickest and most economical path to success is to take a hard look at discovering potential fertility obstacles and then correcting them. This is precisley why detailed lab testing is so important, and why I am so adamant about it.
Most issues are solvable, but not if they remain unidentified. Much of the struggle can be traced back to lack of diagnostics and comprehensive testing. Consequently, these are two areas I feel especially confident about providing. When treatments and procedures suggested by your doctor prove to be unproductive, it's best to take a step back and look at basic health and reproductive hormonal markers. In my opinion, these predictive markers are essential for fertility success and more helpful than escalating to increasingly expensive and invasive procedures and stronger drugs (unless indicated by lab testing.)
In a natural state of optimal fertility, you have the potential to concieve on your own or have a better response to conventional fertility treatments. I am dedicated to providing my patients with the best possible care, advice, and encouragement, while being sensitive to their personal limitations This journey is also a process that requires patience, time, resources, and commitment.
Like many things in life that seem to elude us, there is a certain amount of sacrifice necessary to achieve a worthwhile goal. Ferility and parenthood are no exception to this truth.
