Why choose Cleveland Acupuncture?
Experience
I first began my acupuncture practice in Cleveland in 2001. Acupuncture was not recognized by the majority of healthcare providers back then, nor was there hospital-based wellness and integrative medicine departments. As your acupuncturist, I feel it is part of my job to educate you on what your treatment options are for any health related challenges, fertility or otherwise. I try not to be biased to only "natural" medicine and I realize the the surest and quickest path without regrets is typically the best path. This may include a variety of providers to reach and end goal.
For those who will listen, I am also there to advise you away from expensive and frequently dead-end paths that will lead to frustration. These days, patients must often be their own advocate, though many in the reproductive field talk a good game. At the end of the day, you want to as much information possible to insure your success, whether that's to speed you on your healing journey or to have a take home baby.
I do believe being a proactive participant in your own process puts some of the control back into your hands. And I will be there to guide and suggest helpful options based on over 20 years of clinical experience. I hope to lessen your anxiety and ideally accelerate your health goal achievements.
Supporting Small Business
Cleveland Acupuncture is an independently held private clinic, not an extension of a large hospital. I do not advertise, whatsoever. I am only beholden to my patients, the Ohio Medical Board, and myself.
You can always depend on me to tell you what I really think. Proper diagnosis means proper treatment. New patients can expect a “getting to know you” process in order to shed light on the best path for you, that still fits within your comfort zone.
I have had the privilege of working with many challenging patients and circumstances through the years, and this has given me tremendous “on the job” experience. It is also incredibly rewarding to defy the odds, and assist in helping someone get where they want to be!
Part of my responsibility as your provider is to counsel and support you on lifestyle modifications, which powerfully impact and accelerate your healing potential. Your responsibility as a patient is to sincerely make an effort to embrace these suggestions, and communicate honestly with me on a regular basis.
The Cleveland Acupuncture Experience
Receiving acupuncture and health coaching is personalized, unbiased, and includes cutting-edge information on nutrition, supplements, etc. I care deeply on a personal level that you have a positive outcome and that your health goals are achieved in a timely manner, with as little expense to you as possible.
Cleveland Acupuncture is not a hospital wellness experience or a spa, but I do aim to provide a relaxation response when you are being treated. I conduct acupuncture in a totally private room, and you will never see another patient. I do not offer community (group) acupuncture, or gift certificates. This is a medical clinic, first and foremost.
Potential patients are encouraged to send a brief history of their health concerns and treatment goals for review via email. You will typically get a detailed response as to what I might offer you, and what is needed in order to create a meaningful treatment protocol. I will respond to all requests, typically within 24 hours. Please send your inquiries to

Dr. Gustofson is a Reproductive Endocrinologist with whom I have had both a referral and working relationship for many years. He has a stellar background in his field, including research at the NIH and at Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine. He is my physician of choice when it comes to IVF, and we have shared many "long shot" positive outcomes for patients shared between us. The success rate at CCRM overall is roughly double that of local Cleveland providers. https://www.ccrmivf.com/fertility-success-rates/
Dr. Mulligan is a Cleveland Clinic endocrinologist who helps with initial baseline testing, interpretation, and corrections for many patients lacking these basic diagnostic markers. He has proved to be an exceptional ally in helping to identify and treat causes of subfertility.
